Short Description of MI Sangha
Mindful-meditative practices and teachings in the tradition of renowned Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh. Our evening begins with Mindful-Movement followed by sitting and walking meditation. We end with a Dharma reading/discussion.
First Blog Ever!
These words are the sound of the bell of mindfulness, calling us back to relax, breathe, not take ourselves too seriously. Easy enough to do when we have a patient webmaster and a rough idea of how to navigate this space. It also helps to really really know that being on-line writing in a blog is truly participating in a virtual world. Why do we take ourselves so seriously? Why do I take myself so seriously?
Hopefully this site evolves into a space of beneficial resources with an open armed approach to all who want to practice peace in themselves, families, work places and society in general. Peace begins at home, in ourselves. How are we to live peacefully in society if we can't live peacefully in our own bodies, minds, hearts? We have to start somewhere. Right here is as good a place as anywhere.
Wisdom is first of all pure, straightforward and wholehearted.
